# Mint BRD

Your first mint: pull deposit instructions, fund with the reference attached, wait for clearing, receive tokens in your registered wallet.

Minting converts a cleared deposit into BRD, 1:1, delivered to your registered wallet. The first one is the slowest. Every later mint is the same three actions.

## 1 · Pull your deposit instructions

Open the dashboard's wallet section and choose a funding rail:

* **PIX** for BRL, which settles in seconds, 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
* **Stablecoins** on-chain, which settle on network finality.

Each instruction set includes a **reference**. It is how the incoming payment is matched to your account, so include it exactly as shown.

## 2 · Send the funds

Make the transfer from an account or wallet belonging to you or your verified organization. Transfers from unrelated third parties do not meet institutional-grade compliance expectations and will be held for review.

## 3 · Wait for cleared, then delivered

Received is not cleared. The platform screens the payment, reconciles the reference, and confirms clearing on the rail, then mints and delivers to your registered wallet. Progress is visible in the dashboard, and the mint appears in your activity history with the on-chain transaction.

## When it does not arrive

<table><thead><tr><th width="260">Symptom</th><th>Likely cause</th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td>Deposit sent, nothing minted</td><td>Funds not yet cleared on the rail, or the reference was missing or altered. Check the deposit status in the dashboard.</td></tr><tr><td>Deposit shows as held</td><td>Compliance review, typically source of funds or a mismatched sender. Responding with documentation quickly is the fastest path through.</td></tr></tbody></table>

The full mechanics are on Stablecoin → Minting.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://brd-digital.gitbook.io/brd-digital-docs/getting-started/mint-brd.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
